Cheryl's worst nightmare becomes a reality when her daughter goes missing without a trace. Despite her frantic pleas for help, the authorities and media seem uninterested in finding her daughter, dismissing her as a runaway.Desperate and alone, Cheryl sets out to find her daughter on her own. As she searches for answers, she begins to uncover a disturbing pattern of bias and neglect in the way that missing persons cases are handled. It tells the story of of a mother named Cheryl whose daughter is nowhere to be found. Authorities and media dismiss her as a runaway while focusing on another missing girl, who is white.
