Kuch Kuch Hota Hai tells the story of two close friends at college, male Rahul and tomboy-ish female Anjali. Anjali is in love with Rahul, but he has eyes only for Tina. Years later, before Rahul's wife dies, she leaves letters asking her daughter to play matchmaker for Rahul and Anjali.
