The series follows Cop Capt. Darien Lambert who travels from the 22nd century to the present to track down 22nd century criminals who have escaped by time-traveling, including his archnemesis, Dr. Mordecai Sahmbi, who invented the time machine (TRAX) and helped the criminals to get away.
