Following the first film, Sonic (voiced by Ben Schwartz) lives with Tom Wachowski (James Marsden) and Maddie Wachowski (Tika Sumpter). You want to help the police chase criminals but constantly cause trouble. While the Wachowskis attend the wedding of Maddie's sister in Hawaii, Sonic's cynic - Mad Doctor Ivo Robotnik (Jim Carrey) - returns to Earth after escaping from the Mushroom Planet. The boss follows Knuckles (voiced by Idris Elba) to serve a plot to destroy the world.
